Dec./Jan.specks, reds and stripers

Winter fishing at it's best.

Some of the Neuse River's finest "crek" fishing is in December and January. Specks, reds and flounder move into the large protected areas off the Neuse between Oriental and New Bern. The fishing can be hot, even on cooler days!
The seatrout can be big and plentiful.
The fishing is ideal for light tackle and fly and can be combined with Neuse River stripers! Don't be left out in the cold.....This fishing will warm your heart and sole!

Neuse River stripers

December and January can be excellent months here on the Neuse for esturine striped bass. Not the ocean giant but perfect 2 to 10 pound light tackle fish. You can combine specks and reds in the flats boat or also fish up to 3 out of my center or up to 2 anglers in the flats boat for both full and half days
